Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a method of remotely storing and retrieving data using devices called RFID tags/transponders. An RFID tag is a small object, such as an adhesive sticker, that can be attached to or incorporated into a product. RFID tags contain antennas to enable them to receive and respond to radio-frequency queries from an RFID transceiver.
RFID Library management system
RFID Library Management System has been designed to automate, manage the overall processing of library. The system is capable of managing document transactions, journal subscriptions, overdue charge management, and reports generation. It is easy to use by the library staff as well as the users. RFID system consists o the following modules

- I am presently working as Assistant Librarian in Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli and handling classes for MLIS and M.Phil. students in Department of Library and Information Science, Bharathidasan University. I have completed my B.Sc Library and Information Science and MLIS from Bishop Heber College, Tiruchirappalli. I have cleared my UGC-NET exam in December 1996 and Later I completed my M.Phil in Library and Information Science from Annamalai University. As a Professional, first I completed my Training from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and I worked as a Librarian in Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) Loyola College, Chennai, SSI Limited, Chennai, and later I worked as Regional Coordinator in Libsys Technology, Bangalore and also as Librarian in Indira Gandhi College of Arts and Science ( Govt of Puducherry), Puducherry. Over all I got 12 years of professional experience and guided 3 M.Phil scholars. My areas of specialization are Library Automation, E- Learning, Building Institutional Repository, and Digital library.
